Soups and Sauces

This class is age appropriate for our more experienced tweens & teenagers ages 11 and up. See separate pricing for them in the ticket section. You may send them alone or purchase a ticket for them alongside your own.
It is commonly believed in the culinary field that if you can make a good sauce, you’re probably a great cook. Sauces can be finicky and hard to perfect. Luckily, we have all of the tricks and techniques to help you make a perfect sauce every time. In this class we’ll make all of the “mother sauces,” which include Bechamel, Voloute, Espagnole, Tomato,and Hollandaise. We’ll make several variations on these as well, so that you have an arsenal of sauces to go with any dish you make. To round out the class, we’ll make several soups, too! Chipotle Black Bean Tortilla soup, Tomato Basil soup, Loaded Potato soup, and Mulligatawny soup are just a few that we’ll make! Come warm up with some delicious food, and leave a master of the kitchen!
Please wear closed-toed shoes. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide you with knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have bottled water to drink. You may bring adult beverages if you wish.
This class is unique and is sure to sell out! You must cancel your registration at least 5 days in advance to receive a refund for this class.
