Schnitzel, Strudel, Spatzle, Pretzel!
October 9, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm$60
Oktoberfest has been celebrated in Germany since 1810, as a celebration for the wedding of King Ludwig I. Today, it is best known as a festival for beer and food, where around 6 million people from all over the world come to participate in the two month long extravaganza. In our class, we want to recreate some classic German food, and incorporate some delicious beers in our recipes, too! We’ll make things such as: Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Apples, Pork Schnitzel, Spatzle, Pretzels with Beer Cheese, Bratwurst with accompaniments such as Guinness Mustard, Zucchini Relish, and quick Sauerkraut, and even Strudel for dessert! We can’t think of a better menu to kick off the Autumn Season. Come celebrate the fun and food of Oktoberfest- right here in Morton!
Please wear closed-toed shoes. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. You can bring alcoholic beverages if you’d like. We will provide you knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have bottled water to drink.
