Adult and Child Cake Decorating

Our safest class!  You decorate and take home only your own cake! No sharing at all!  Email us to get on the waitlist for this class if you don’t get a ticket!

Back again!  Adult and Child Cake Decorating class is for adults and children young or grown!  We will teach cake decorating tips and show various techniques.  We will show you how to make buttercream icing and tint the icing in various colors, fill your bags and load your couplers and tips.  We will show how to do a crumb coat, make the Wilton rose and other flowers to put on your beautiful cake.  We will even show how to do borders with your icing!  Cakes will be baked ahead and provided for you.  1 cake per 2-person team. Additional cakes can be purchased for an additional charge (you must let us know in advance).  Cakes are vanilla flavored.  You take your cakes home with you to have for the weekend!  Masks are required for all ages.  Please eat a savory meal before you arrive as we will only be decorating cakes during this class.

Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your beverage to drink if you wish.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 5 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class.  There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at thecookeryinc@gmail.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund for any reason.  You may gift or sell your tickets to someone else if you are not able to come but we cannot forward them to another class.

If you have a cardboard gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card. If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when you purchase your ticket.
