Meat Smoking 101

Delicious smoked meat may seem like something that you have to go to a BBQ restaurant for, but we’re here to prove you can achieve mouth watering results right at home. We will focus on teaching both indoor and outdoor smoking techniques with charcoal, stove top, and electric. We will talk about which wood chips pair well with certain meats. We’ll smoke more than meat, too! Fruits and Veggies can develop gorgeous flavor in the smoker. If you are excited about smoking and want the tips on perfecting recipes like Pork Butt, Smoked Veggie Flatbread Pizza, Smoked Potato Salad, Smoked Salmon, Smoked Cheese Dip, Honey Pepper BBQ Chicken, Smoked Mac n Cheese, and even Smoked Maple Bacon Ice Cream, then this class is for you! Come spend some time having fun in the sun and learning cool tips and tricks to smoke your own meat at home! Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. You can bring adult beverages if you’d like. We will provide knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.
Our classes are popular and often sell out! You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class. There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at email@example.com. Tickets cancelled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund.
If you have a gift card and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out. If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card.
