Kids Cooking: Chinese Takeout
July 15 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm$20 - $55
Americans love good food, and in recent years, we’ve been loving the food from other countries and cultures. Since the 1980s, Chinese food has been on the rise. In fact, the Chinese American Restaurant Association says there are three times more Chinese restaurants than McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. Even the kiddos are loving Chinese Takeout! We are turning traditional Chinese American hits into kid friendly sure-fire dishes such as: Sweet n Sour Chicken, Orange Chicken, Egg Fried Rice, Egg Rolls with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Banana Spring Rolls with Coconut Cream, Squash Pot Stickers with Soy Dipping Sauce, Cream Cheese Rangoons with Pineapple Sauce, and Vegetable Lo Mein Noodles – all the classics! We even snuck some veggies in our recipes to make sure your little one gets a well balanced meal. Be warned: this class will ruin your favorite takeout spot for you!
Please indicate the age of your child (children) in the comment sections so we can make sure that their recipes are age appropriate. Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.
