Holiday Appetizers, Dips, and Cookery Favs

Just in time for the holidays…

Throwing parties and being with those you love is what the holidays are all about – but at this time, it may not be the safest option. That doesn’t mean we have to give up our holiday favorite recipes that are quick, simple and delicious!  I don’t know about you, but apps for dinner – that’s my fav!! And we want to be ready when the party returns!  …So in this class we will focus on appetizers that you can make the star of your party this holiday season whether your gathering is small or you want to share with the neighbors! Most of our appetizers can even be made ahead, which makes cooking for any day a whole lot easier!  I know we are all hoping to be celebrating by the new year, and these recipes will not disappoint! All food will be taken home in to-go boxes. In an effort to make class safer, we will no longer allow food to be eaten at The Cookery the end of each class. This class will include everything you need to make some fabulous treats such as: Crab Rangoon with Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce, Endive with Figs, Goat Cheese, and Local Honey, Creamy Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Toast Points,  Bacon and Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms, Buffalo Chicken/Naan Pizza, Pumpkin and Gingersnap Parfaits, and Peppermint Bark!

COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are asking all students to wear a mask to class. We will be taking temperatures at the door, and taste testing, as well as providing hand sanitizer upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home. You may call to cancel your ticket, and we will issue a credit to be used on a future class if you are more than 2 days in advance. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time! We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.

Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your favorite beverage to drink if you wish. You can bring adult beverages if you’d like. We will provide knives.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class.  There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing Amanda your request to cancel at thecookeryinc@gmail.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund for ANY REASON.  You may gift your tickets to someone else but we will not refund or forward them to a future class if you cannot attend.

If you have a card board gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card.  If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when your purchase your ticket.
