College Cuisine Cooking 101
July 30, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm$45
Sending your “baby” off to college? We know you’ve set them up with all the books and supplies they’ll need, but why not arm them with techniques and recipes to make sure they are well fed, too? A lot of new college students pack on that “Freshman 15” because they don’t know how to cook for themselves, and end up eating a lot of fast food. In this class we’ll teach them how to make dishes they can make in a dorm or those tiny apartments! We’ll make dishes such as: Caesar Salad and a Fruit Salad right in a Ziplock bag! We’ll show them two ways to dress up Ramen Noodles, including a cold and crunchy Asian Salad and hot bowl of Tea Kettle Ramen. We’ll use a waffle maker to cook up some easy Pizzas, and then we’ll even make a mug cake right in the microwave! Send off your “kid” knowing they’ll be able to feed themselves!
Please wear closed-toed shoes. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide you knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.
